Fortune favors the bold
How it began
It was a hot October afternoon; the tea was brewing on the stove. Patrick had just arrived home from shooting an 86 on a par 72 at Olympia Fields and was unhappy. Later that day he saw Tiger Woods shock the world, winning his 5th masters tournament after braving through a near fatal car crash, surgery on both his legs and 3 years of recovery.
It was at this moment Pat knew he was witness to one of life's greatest triumphs.
It was epic; an inspiration that led Pat to realize Fortune favors only the bold, that there is still time to achieve our dreams, and that greatness awaits within all of us if we have the boldness to unlock it.
The Patsters would become the event to honor and uphold these ideals to a new generation.
Then came the idea of a fabled Black Jacket, whose ethos would complete the lore and legend of the event.
